21 September BREXIT Seminar sponsored by KPMG Meijburg & Co, and with support of Embassy of Ireland

There was a huge interest in our Thursday 21 September 2017 Seminar entitled Brexit: Implications for Dutch and Irish Business, a joint event sponsored by KPMG Meijburg & Co, and with the support of the Embassy of Ireland in the Netherlands.  The event was held at KPMG global HQ in Amstelveen, on 25 September, where the Irish flag was flown for the occasion.

Against the impressive backdrop of the venue, during the seminar representatives of Dutch and Irish businesses and government spoke about the progress of the negotiation process and explored implications of Brexit on the economies of both countries.  The audience had an chance to share in the discussion by way of a voting system and also to direct their questions to the speakers at the end of the plenary session.

Afterwards delegates were treated to a generous food and drink reception and we would like to thank especially KPMG Meijburg & Co, for their warm hospitality.

Speakers included:
•    Robert van der Jagt, Chairman KPMG EU Tax Centre;
•    Julie Sinnamon, CEO Enterprise Ireland;
•    Guido Landheer, Deputy Director General, Foreign Economic Relations, Department of
     Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands;
•    Rory Montgomery, Second Secretary General and Director General, Department of
     Foreign Affairs, Ireland;
•    Dr. Gordon Campbell, President INBA, Advisor to the Board and former CEO of SPAR
     International.
With opening remarks by:
•    H.E. Ambassador Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland

Once again, we would like to thank KPMG Meijburg & Co, and the Embassy of Ireland for making this topical and informative event possible, and we look forward to further opportunities to work together on this most relevant topic.
