Eric Vermeulen (1966) qualified in Tax Law and Fiscal Economics at the University of Tilburg. He started his career in 1988 as an international tax lawyer at Mazars, where he was appointed as partner in 2001. Eric headed since 2004 the International Service Line Tax worldwide. In January 2011 Eric became a partner of Luminous Tax Matters, which firm merged with AKD N.V. (lawyers) as per January 1, 2016.
Eric mainly advises on national and international tax issues, such as cross-border mergers and acquisitions and employments. His client portfolio includes a number of quoted and non-quoted companies active in the field of datacenters, staffing, security, pharmaceuticals, outdoor advertising and software. He was also involved in a large number of national and international M&A projects. Eric is furthermore a teacher at the RSM Erasmus University in Rotterdam, where he is involved in the Business Valuation and M&A - program. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
